Dr. Brenda Gardner-Valdes, EdD

The school’s board director is Dr. Brenda Gardner-Valdes received a doctorate in education and curriculum from Texas A&M University in 1987. She is the former director of special education for a large Houston area school district and has served as the director school programs of a local special needs school and treatment center. She has over 25 years experience teaching and administering in Texas Education Agency approved schools. She brings to River Oaks Academy a wealth of knowledge and expertise on curriculum, administration, and special education.
