Luis Valdes, PhD

The program director is Dr. Luis Valdes. He received a doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Houston in 1990 and his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University. He completed a Fellowship at the Harvard Medical School in Boston in 1989. He is bi-literate in Spanish and English. He has 20 years experience in program development and implementation both domestically and internationally. He specializes in education and mental health services for children and families and system-wide integrated programming. He has worked in educational and mental health services in the public and private sector in the Houston area for over 15 years. He has successfully obtained and managed schools and treatment centers with accreditations that include:  Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Texas Education Agency and the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.
