Consultation, Evaluation and Treatment Services

Consultation and Evaluation. Our experts can review and help you understand your student’s needs, disabilities, challenges, strengths and weaknesses. Psychological, neuropsychological, Full Individual Evaluation (FIE), psychoeducational evaluations, achievement testing and standardized testing can be difficult to make useful without properly understanding and integrating the often overwhelming information that they provide. Our experts understand educational systems as well as psychological, psychiatric and developmental disabilities. We can help you identify and choose an appropriate program or school. Consultation services help families find the community resources and transition services they need to be able to stabilize the home environment and engage their student in productive leisure time activities.

Outpatient services. Some ROA students take advantage of confidential individual, group or family therapies to help their educational aspirations. Goals may include improvement in social functioning, communication skills, family and peer relationships, self-esteem and academic performance.

Day treatment services. ROA operates a day treatment program that includes confidential in-house psychiatric services, individual therapy and family therapy that is embedded in the Individualized Education Program and the Integrated Services Program.
